FrameV

What is it:

FrameV is a teaching and learning enhancement solution, that turns ordinary classrooms, into Enhanced Learning venues. That's better than the nonsense of Digital Classrooms.

What does it look like:

How does it work:

Think of it like a TV studio, but in a classroom.

That might sound complicated, but it's not. With FrameV, the lecturer becomes the director and star of the show. Directing what the viewers (students etc.) see right in front of them, in full HD.

All from a simple and easy to use touch screen interface.

How was it made:

The prototype of FrameV was tested at the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Birkbeck College, University of London.

What are the benefits of FrameV:

  • Everyone gets a front row view, even at the back. So no more skirmishes for the best seat in the house.

  • Terrible room dimensions, (including low ceilings) or even just bad layouts; they all become irrelevant.

  • Projector problems, poor image, pixel stretching etc. are no longer an issue. Not when you have a full HD feed right in front of you.

  • Cheaper than traditional hardware set ups, and more flexible.

  • Video sources can be anywhere; in different rooms/buildings or even countries.

  • Ultra low latency real time streaming.

  • Video resolution agnostic/independent.

  • Enables distance learners, to get the same view as those in the room (even if they are watching from the other side of the planet). Missed practicals are no longer a problem.

  • This is not a Digital Classroom but an Enhanced Learning venue.

  • The only STEM's Teaching and Learning solution of it's kind.
STEM's: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
We can also Enhance Medical teaching.
